The purpose of the Board of Marriage and Family Therapy is to administer and enforce the statutory authority and to monitor the needs of the consuming public. The board examines and licenses all eligible candidates for entry into the profession of marriage and family therapy. It recommends appropriate changes in the law to assure fairness and equality. The board conducts formal hearings when necessary and prosecutes by due process any violators of KRS 335.300.
Alert: The Kentucky Association for Marriage and
Family Therapy (KAMFT) is no longer a practicing association. The Kentucky
Board of Marriage and Family Therapists is not KAMFT. The Kentucky Board
does not have any information regarding associations. You will have to
contact the associations for any of their information. For clarity,
please do not refer to the Board as KAMFT.
